The Fort Nelson Minor Hockey Association runs entirely on the dedication of volunteers – parents, guardians, coaches, and community members who make each season possibile.
Whether you can help on the ice, behind the bench, or in the stands, your time and energy make a high different.

Who Can Volunteer
We welcome parents, guardians, and community members in good standing with FNMHA.
To volunteer, you must:
- Complete all required Hockey Canada / BC Hockey certifications for your role
- Submit a Criminal Record Check (CRC) before participating in team activities
Volunteer Roles
Executive Board Members
These roles are elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and oversee the overall operation, finances, safety, and development of the association.
This board includes: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Registrar, Head Coach, Head Referee, Ice Coordinator, Risk Manager, Gaming Coordinator, Equipment Manager, Fundraising Coordinator, Publicity Director, NEHRL Coordinator, and Division Coordinators.
Volunteer Requirements
Step 1: Complete a Criminal Record Check
* Complete it online or at the RCMP detachment.
* Use FNMHA Organization Code: LBL3K34GDA

Step 2: Complete these online courses:
Concussion Awareness Training Tool (CATT)
Step 3: Send or bring your certificates to the Registrar / your division coordinator so they can be submitted and your qualifications added to your profile.
