Who We Are

The Fort Nelson Minor Hockey Association (FNMHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing amateur hockey for youth in the Fort Nelson area. We operate under the guidelines of BC Hockey and Hockey Canada, ensuring that all programs uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun.

Our goal is to make hockey accessible to all – encouraging competition and fellowship not just for the most skilled players, but for everyone who loves the game.

To promote and encourage amateur hockey while developing the highest possible standard of sportsmanship and citizenship among our players, coaches, and families.

FNMHA is governed by a volunteer Executive Board elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Together, these volunteers oversee all aspect of our association – from player registration and scheduling to safety, coaching, and development.

Affiliation

FNMHA is officially affiliated with BC Hockey and follows all regulations and policies under the BC Societies Act, BC Hockey, and Hockey Canada.


Our Commitment as a Non-Profit

As a registered non-profit, all funds raised or received by FNMHA are used solely to support and enhance our hockey programs. Our mission is carried out without purpose of gain for members, ensuring that all profits directly benefit the players and community.

Our Home

We are proud to operate within facilities provided by the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality Recreation Department, in accordance with our user agreement. We thank them for their continued partnership in supporting youth sports.
